Diffusers measurement
Very sophisticated diffusers have been developed with the mass use of high power LED light sources.
These diffusers allow homogenizing and shaping the light with a minimum loss.
The very particular diffusers’ microstructure determines the light beam uniformity and shape.
STIL S.A. company, which is specialist in high resolution optical instrumentation, provides exclusive devices to perform the linked analysis of materials’ surface topography and materials diffusion.
STIL S.A. systems offer the possibility to correlate diffusers’ microstructure with their light emission capacities in order to enhance the conception and manufacture process.
For industrialists which manufacture or integrate diffusing objects (flat screen TV, automotive, vision systems, means of signaling…), the precise control of every diffusers’ parameters is a necessity.
Several measurement series have been performed in STIL S.A. tests laboratory:

The diffusers topographies have been realized with the MICROMESURE 2 automatic station, combined with a CCS Prima controller and a CL1-MG140 modular optical pen(100µm measuring range; 5nm resolution). |
Diffusion has been analyzed using the REFLET 180 goniophotometer. |
