May 4th to May 7th in Stuttgart

STIL will take part in the CONTROL Exhibition, which is the annual meeting for measurement specialists and which will take place in Stuttgart from May 4th to May 7th.

You will have the opportunity to discuss with our team about our whole range of high definition "point sensor", offer had considerably strengthened during these last month with the evolution of our flagship products CCS PRIMA.

The CCS PRIMA proposes a choice of 2 channels (PRIMA 2) or 4 multiplexed channels (PRIMA 4), which allows an obvious economic advantage for multipoint measurement.

The 3D real time measurement will also be in the MPLS 180 range of products.

New miniature chromatic confocal optical pens for 3D non contact measurement:

STIL introduces ENDO, a new line of confocal chromatic pens providing an amazing tiny size.

The two first available units ENDO 1.2 and ENDO 1.5 are ideal for non-contact measurements application in reduced space environments.

Thanks to their small size (Ø6 mm, 76 mm and 101 mm length), their integration in inspection machines in the production line is made easier.

These miniature pens are also very useful for the measurement of holes or cavities with small diameter.

Working with any STIL optoelectronic controllers, the ENDO 1.2 and ENDO 1.5 allow performing a precise measurement with submicron resolution.

Big commercial success in 2010 for the CCS PRIMA 4

The CCS PRIMA 4 controller has quickly been adopted and integrated on production line as soon as it has been published in the E-catalog 2010.

The flagship product of STIL’s CCS “point” sensors range, the CCS PRIMA, is from now on available in a 2 or 4 multiplexed channels version under the name of CCS Prima 4 and CCS Prima 2. This innovative technology allows the user to instanteneously commute from a measurement performed with one optical pen to another measurement, without any manual operation.

The CCS Prima 4 can run up to four input pens, which allows the user to enjoy both a multiple measurement range and/or multipoints measurements on one sample with a single controller, thanks to a fast commutation. The CCS PRIMA 2 version will be available very soon, and welcomes one or two optical pen entries.

The advantages of a multichannels sensor are:

  • The serial measurement of several optical pens assembled in a fixed position on automatic or semi-automatic inspection machines. In this case, one single CCS PRIMA 4 can replace 4 ordinary CCS PRIMA sensors, allowing the customer to get an obvious financial benefit.

  • The simultaneous use of the extended range of STIL’s optical pens (distance, measurement range, lateral resolution…). Profilometer-type measurement stations can be totally automated with the help of a motorized tool changer that will require no handling, whatever the type of sample.
